A Royal Wedding- 29th April 2011

SO Prince William finally did it, he made a good woman out of Kate Middleton. There are many ladies, me included that who wished it could be them who were becoming a future Queen, but for now Kate will have to deal with being just a mere Princess and Duchess!

What a glorious day it was. Crowds of people attended this landmark event. Commoners, as Kate was once referred to, gathered from around the world to watch, whilst those considered to be highly important, or so they think, attended this extravagant wedding of the Prince and the commoner-no more but Princess.
However, the non Royal fans took to the street for a much different purpose, some to shop, chill out and do their own non-royal thing. Whatever takes one's fancy, they did just that, it's not as if this holiday required a compulsory attendance, no surely we don't belong to a dictative society, and this was thus reflected in the public chioce to shun the wedding- oh well, life goes on doesn't it. Yes indeed, and for many long hours it did, with celebrities, dignitaries and yes, you and I - The Commoners ; D

This change in the monarchy has certainly sealed a turn in the books of British history, as was the decision of Prince William to personally, escort his new, blusing bride in his father's, Prince Charles' favoured car, albeit only a few yards down the road to their humble abode.

Later after the formal festivities, as expected the young and young at heart got down to some serious partying. After 3am revellers could be seen exiting Buckingham palace, with some in a most jovial manner. Good for them! i am sure the late Princess Diana would be smiling down.

So all in all, did many of the public get their monies worth and long nights of waiting on the cold and somewhat wet streets of London?
Well I think they and us know the answer to that, as many seemed to be in good spirits and got their 5 minutes of fame, when approached by the eager and overwhelming flood of paparazzi, press etc etc. Yes I can say personally it was a jolly good, experience.
Roll on next time for the charming and funny Prince Harry and princess... whoever 'She, you, I', dare I wish maybe.

My greatest wishes for the future go out to them and not forgetting my sister who's birthday it was also on the 29th April, happy birthday Zoe.
